Over 200 Saskatchewan Industrial and Mining Suppliers Association’s (SIMSA) members heard from and networked with over 30-Nutrien procurement and executive persons, plus members of SaskTech - at a Roundtable event on October 15th 2019 in Saskatoon, SK. This was the first ever SIMSA Roundtable event with a theme – a look into Nutrien’s digital future.

Local spending nearly quadruples impact on SK economy: PwC Study

A new study reveals that in-province procurement purchases by Saskatchewan resource companies would deliver nearly four times more economic benefit to the province than purchases made from non-Saskatchewan suppliers. According to the study, each dollar spent exclusively with local suppliers would generate $1.51 in total economic output for the province, compared to the $0.39 that would be generated by purchases from out of province suppliers.

SIMSA Submits "Gold Standard Debriefing Guidelines" to SaskPower

The Saskatchewan Industrial and Mining Suppliers Association (SIMSA) has prepared this set of “Gold Standard Debriefing Guidelines” for SaskPower, outlining ways the corporation could better meet the needs of SIMSA members as well as all other suppliers, in the area of Supplier Development. Specifically, a debriefing is an opportunity for non-selected suppliers to learn what they have done well and what they can do better.
